Wednesday’s Je Ne Sais Quoi—HUMP DAY…well let’s be honest, feels a little more like bump in the road day…but there is good news to be had on this mediocre Wednesday in NYC.  It comes in the form of Piola, an Italian pizzeria in Union Square. And for once, we’re not talking about the pizza.  From 8pm to close every Wednesday, Piola showers its female diners with free wine included with any entrée. FREE WINE. Pretty sure Kool & the Gang would write a new rendition of Ladies Night for this. Oh and they have some pretty great other promotions as well—check it all out at Piola Union Square

Wednesday's Je Ne Sais Quoi:



Gray morning in NYC and desperate for the days of the faded golden summer....I didn't make it to Coachella this year but I'm loving this film of the music festival; which turns the whole crowd into dollhouse like miniatures. Directed, shot and cut by Sam O'Hare and produced by Sara Eolin and Leo Nitzberg. Reminds me a little of italian photographer Olivo Barbieri's work of cities from helicopters with a tilt-shift lens--here's one New York City's own Flatiron building:

Weekly Je Ne Sais Quoi: It's 12 pm on Wednesday and one cup of coffee just isn't cutting it anymore...yeah we've been there. Fashion writer Alex and I usually take Wednesday's to send each other a pick me up video or quote to keep us truckin' through the rest of the week. We decided why were we not sharing those anecdotes with the rest of NYC?? Que the je ne sais quoi...that special little something that just somehow gets you over the "middle of the week" Wednesday hump.  Today we're loving Johnny Cash's to-do list, a featured item on the upcoming auction of his collectibles in December. Kiss June? Dont kiss anyone else? Eat? Pee? Johnny, we're feeling you and your to-do's.
